Notes for Harald Rudolf Langmann


Title: Factory Owner

Harald was born in Hamburg and came to Denmark as a 10-year-old in
1891; obtained Danish citizenship on 27 Feb 1911 at age 29. He was
trained as a mechanic and an electrician.
He was in business with his father in Copenhagen. Since retiring, he worked
his later years as a meter reader for NESA (North Sealand
Electric Co.). During the Second World War, he once turned off the
electric power at the military barracks at nearby Jaegerspris because
the German command had forgotten to pay the bill.
