William (Wilhelm) emigrated to the USA sometime between 1859 and 1867.
He became a farmer in Wayne County, NY.
His sister Luise married in the US, and his brother (Friedrich) Bernhard
became a farmer in Iowa.
His half-brother Karl also emigrated to the US. Their mothers had passed
away in 1840 and 1844 respectively, and indications are that their
stepmother, Sophie nee Langmann, also went to the US to live on the farm
in Iowa.
