Johannes (John) Macrander (*1819-†1910) at his farm home near Westboro, Atchison County, Missouri. He came to the Port of Baltimore, Maryland 10 June 1840, on the sailing bark "Emil" from Rotterdam, NL. The journey was 69 days at sea. The Prussian owned bark was constructed in Stettin, Prussia (now in Poland). John came to join his elder brother, Dr. Johann Jacob Friedrich Macrander, M.D. who was married and had been in Frederick, Maryland since about 1837.
